The movie by the "honored registrar of 2012" Geoff Stray and investigative journalist Philip Coppens is a very nice aggregation of the 2012 thing.
The pictures / animations are feckless because they're never in line with the content. But the script is rather good, even if there's some "doom talk" in it.
There is a audio book version, too, which should outweight the silly animations.
